, including the cleanest model that will emit just 98g/km of CO2.

but with an 11cm longer wheelbase. It gives more room for the removable third row seats and an extra 69 liters of cargo room.

Citroën is also introducing its new BlueHDi engine on the Grand C4 Picasso. It produces 150hp and emits 110g/km of CO2 for the manual version or 117g/km of CO2 for the automatic.

The new Grand C4 Picasso uses the company’s modular EMP2 platform. The new car gets a new front end with squinting 3d LED running lights. At the rear, it gets LED taillights on the wraparound tailgate.

The front overhang is 11.6cm shorter than the previous car, and the engine and floor have been lowered by 20mm for the floor and 50mm for the engine. The track is 82mm wider in the front and 31mm wider in the rear. It is still 100kg lighter than the previous car.

Most of the work has been done to the interior, which Citroën says is inspired by a loft, which means that there is natural light and room to move. In fact the car has more glass than any other car in the segment at 5.7 square meters. There are now air blowers in each of three rows when optioned with the Lounge Pack. In front buyers can get a 12in panoramic screen. At night, the roof is covered in white LED lights. Top trim cars will be available with two-tone leather.

The car is available with two infotainment systems. The basic system is a 7in touchscreen, and it can be upgraded to a 12in HD touchscreen. Other technology available in the car includes a camera-assisted 360-vision system, parking assist and active cruise control.

The Grand C4 Picasso will be available in Aluminum grey, Hickory brown, Banquise white, Onyx black, Rubi red, Teles blue and Kyanos blue.

Citroën is only discussing three engines for the Grand C4 Picasso at the moment. The basic engine is the e-HDi 90 Airdream with a six-speed automated manual transmission. It emits 98g/km of CO2 and uses 3.8l/100km. The new engine is the e-HDi 115 that emits 104g/km of CO2 and uses 4.0l/100km with the same six-speed automated manual. The new engine is the BlueHDi with 150hp that emits 110g/km of CO2 with the manual or 117g/km of CO2 with the six-speed automatic.

The car will be on sale in the next few months.
