appears to be grasping at its final straw in getting Fernando Alonso the 2012 World Drivers' Championship. It has requested a clarification from the FIA on the lap four pass of Sebastian Vettel on Jean-Eric Vergne at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

This really appears that Ferrari is just trying to make trouble. The FIA said that the yellow light that is visible when Vettel passed Vergne was an indication that there was poor weather and not a yellow flag. The controversy has persisted after the race.

Stefano Domenicali, Ferrari team principal, sent a letter to the FIA asking for a detailed explanation of what happened during the pass. The race stewards would have access to more angles of the pass.

"We are seeking clarification about the overtaking move," said Ferrari.
