bet on materials and better trimming and still further practical storage solutions. The Italian brand also focused on personalization as a way to attract customers. The 500X may be purchased in 12 different colors and with rims with eight different designs. The rims will be sold with 16, 17 and 18 inches.
The new SUV will be sold with a range of four petrol engines and three diesel. The front-drive versions will use a gasoline 1.6-liter E-torQ of 110hp engine with a manual five-speed gearbox or a 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II 140hp engine with a manual six-speed gearbox or six-speed dual-clutch. In the diesel range there will be the 1.3 MultiJet II 135hp version with manual 5-speed gearbox.
In AWD variants the new Fiat 500X will be equipped with the 2.0 MultiJet II 140hp with a nine-speed automatic transmission, the 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II 170hp and the Tigershark 2.4-liter version with 184hp and a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The new 500 family model is equipped with a system with three driving modes which alter the settings of the engine, braking, steering and transmission as necessary. The Auto mode is the most efficient, the Sport is aimed at a more sporty driving and the All Weather was thought to better adapt to conditions with poor adherence.
The cabin is equipped with the Uconnect touch screen with 5 or 6.5 inch, depending on the version chosen. This system includes Bluetooth, aux-in and USB systems and can be controlled through controls placed on the steering wheel or via voice commands.
