Fiat Premiering 500L, All-Wheel Drive Freemont and Turbo Doblo at Geneva

Fiat does not seem to be bringing its best to the Geneva Motor Show in a few weeks. It will have the world premiere of the new 500L, but other than that it is just adding some drivetrain options to older models.

Fiat revealed some of the specs about the 500L a few weeks ago. It has not told us much more about the 500L other than it will use the Twinair and 1.4 liter petrol engines and the 1.3 diesel.

It will also offer two new special edition 500s - the 500 America and 500 Color Therapy. The 500 America will be limited to 500 coupes and 500 convertibles, but Fiat has not gone into detail about what will make the America special. The Color Therapy adds pastel colors to a limited edition 500.

Fiat is adding an all-wheel drive version of the Freemont, which is a rebadged American Dodge Journey. The all-wheel drive, seven-seat SUV is offered with either the 170hp, 2.0 liter Multijet or 280hp 3.6 liter V6 petrol engines.

The Panda is getting the 85hp Twinair Turbo engine with Dualogic transmission.

The Bravo is getting a special version called the Bravo Street with either the 120hp 1.4 T-Jet or 120hp 1.6 Mutijet D engines.

Finally the Fiat Doblo is getting the 120 hp 1.4 T-Jet.

Overall, it looks like the Fiat brand is broadening its engine lineup across its models and working on larger models in general.
