Ford Building Special Mustang for 'Need for Speed' Movie

that will star in the film. 

“’Need for Speed’ is rooted in Americana, and when we were casting our hero car for the film, Ford Mustang was the obvious choice,” said Stacey Snider, Co-Chair of DreamWorks.

The special Mustang for the movie includes a wide body kit, 22in wheels and a twin-nostril hood with larger air intakes to feed the car's supercharged V8 engine.

A modified Ford F-450 truck will also appear in the film, and Ford supplied other Mustangs to act as camera cars. 

"Need for Speed" will star Aaron Paul and Michael Keaton and be directed by Scott Waugh

The film aims to be a return to the car films of the 60s and 70s like "Vanishing Point" or "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry." It tells the story of a cross-country revenge journey.
