Williams expects to keep among the top three teams in Formula 1 and for that it unveiled its
FW38 for the 2016 season. In 2014 and 2015 the British team only stayed behind Mercedes and Ferrari.
It's with a sense of responsibility that Sir Frank Williams faces the new season, with the FW38 wearing the same colors of Martini Racing as in 2014 and 2015. With a smaller budget than its most direct opponents, Williams' boss believes the team began to cement its position among the front teams.
The goal for the new season is to continue to progress as full satisfaction can only come with the wins. For this Williams continues to bet on Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas. Much of the technical team has also remained unchanged allowing to optimize the knowledge and developments for the FW38.
Given the stability of the regulations for 2016, the Williams FW38 can be seen as an improvement compared to last season. The team believes it will allow to keep the distance to Red Bull, Renault, McLaren and Force India cars. Williams bet on the improvement of the weakest points of the
FW37.
The car unveiled in Barcelona for the winter testing will still undergo changes before the start of the season in Melbourne.
