Volkswagen is launching at the 80th Geneva Motor Show the newest generation of the Sharan, a family vehicle that has already sold over 600,000 units. From the exterior and exterior look to the engines, the 2010 Sharan has suffered a lot of changes.
The new Sharan will be available in four different engines, two petrol and two diesel, with power outputs between 140PS and 200PS. The new generation also sets a new world-record in the MPV segment in terms of fuel consumption, with the Sharan 2.0 TDI that spends 5.3 litres per 100km.
In terms of design the 2010 Sharan has been developed thinking of families with two or more children and high-mileage business users with a need for extra space. It features a flexible EasyFold seating system (up to seven easily adjustable seats), an adaptive chassis control (DCC) and a level regulating system.
The new Sharan will be available in Trendline, Comfortline and Highline versions. The new generation of Volkswagen’s MPV will once again be available with four-wheel drive (Sharan 2.0 TDI 4Motion with 140PS).
In the first markets where it is set for launch the new Sharan should be available to order at the end of March.
