have received the 2012 eCarTec Award from the German state of Bavaria for their shared Combined Charging System that will be implemented in 2013. 

All of the automakers will use a universal plug for their electric and plug-in vehicles that allows for single-phase AC charging, quick AC charging with a 3-phase connection, a DC connection for home charging and quick DC charging. It means that drivers should be able to charge their vehicle anywhere.
