, Volkswagen has created the Life special edition that packs €3,400 in extra features for no change in price.

The Golf Plus offers extra height and room over a standard five-door Golf. The Life special edition adds automatic climate control, heated front seats, heated washer jets, an updated radio, parking assist, multifunction display and the Light and Sight pack. Leather covers the steering wheel, gearshift and handbrake. The cars get special 16in wheels, chrome trim around the air inlets, LED light to illuminate the registration light, fog lights and tinted rear winders. They will also have a Life emblem on the fenders. 

Prices start at €21,200 for the 1.4-liter petrol engine with 79hp. There is also a 120hp petrol engine and 105ps and 140ps diesels. 

The only option is the Life Plus pack that adds a panoramic sunroof and a choice of two 17in wheel styles for €950.
