is strapping on an Eaton TVS RS2300 supercharger to the Corvette's 6.2-liter V8 to boost power from 460hp in the stock engine to 700hp. Given that the C7 is already, the fastest standard trim Corvette ever made, adding 240hp should be neck-snapping fast. Hennessey calls the car the HPE700 Corvette.

The supercharger runs at 8psi through CNC-ported versions of the factory cylinder heads and a bespoke intake manifold. The ECU is also recalibrated to deal with the extra power.

Like the standard C7, Hennessey's car is available with either a seven-speed manual or six-speed automatic.

Hennessey is also offering the car with its CarbonAero trim package that adds a carbon fiber front splitter, rear spoiler, side sills; and a hood with power dome and central air vent. There are also 10-spoike H10 allow wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Other performance upgrades include an optional coilover suspension and optional Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes.

"We're only interested in changes that deliver a measurable increase in performance, period," said company founder John Hennessey.

Hennessey is taking order for the car now, and the first deliveries will be in October just as the standard C7 Corvette is also hitting dealers.

The HPE700 will be the top of Hennessey tunes for the C7. It will also offer the naturally aspirated HPE500 and supercharged HPE600. It will also offer the upgrade parts separately for buyers who want to upgrade their own cars.

All of Hennessey's cars and parts are covered with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and can be ordered directly from US Chevrolet dealers.
