Koenigsegg Agera R smashes 0-200 mph record

The new Koenigsegg Agera R has been timed at an amazing 17.68 seconds to 200 mph(322km/h) from stationary. Making it the most accelerative (to 200 mph) production car of all time.

Koenigsegg set the records at its Ängelholm proving ground in Sweden and have yet to be officially blessed by the Guinness book of world records, but this should happen in the next few days.

At 940 bhp the Agera R isn’t as powerful as the mighty Bugatti Veyron Supersport, but with a curb weight of 1435 kg it is significantly lighter.

Koenigsegg is currently preparing the video, so watch out youtube.......

I'm coming round to them. I've always preferred Pagani myself, but the Agera looks like a proper machine to me.

I find the design quite appealing. Reminds me of a toddler's dream car.
