Röhrl made his name in rally cars by winning the Monte Carlo Rally four times and was WRC champion in 1980 and 1982. He was the first driver ever to set a time faster than 11 minutes at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. in 1981, he took a class victory for Porsche in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Porsche 924 Carrera GTP924 Carrera GTPPorsche 924 Carrera GTPGermany, 1980 > present. He was elected Rally Driver of the Millennium in France.
