. The improved technology includes more accurate searches with street view and Google Panoramio photo sharing. 

The navigation system can connect to Google Maps to show drivers Street View images of their destination. It also includes Google's continually updated local search function for points of interest.

When drivers select a destination, an image of it appears on the screen from Street View so that the driver can confirm this is the location that they are driving to. For other destinations, the system will pull images from Google's Panoramio photo sharing service that allows users to share photos with GPS data and search based on location. 

All of the information is displayed on the IS's 7in infotainment screen. 

The new IS will go on sale in Europe in June.
