is showing its super angular LF-NXLexus LF-NXJapan, 2013 > 2013 concept again at the Tokyo Motor Show, but this time it gets the company’s new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will debut in the production version of the LF-NX that is scheduled to go on sale in 2015.
The look of the LF-NX has not changed at all since the last time it was shown. It is still the extremely polarizing, angular crossover that was shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Although the new color, makes the concept's lines look a little softer and more appropriate for the road.
The change is that it is now powered by Lexus’ 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that the company hopes will make its cars more popular in Europe with better efficiency and lower emissions. The engine uses Toyota’s D-4S direct injection system, VVT-i variable valve timing, a cylinder head-integrated exhaust manifold and twin scroll turbocharger with an active wastegate to keep emissions low and optimize fuel economy. The exhaust manifold keeps the exhaust gas at an optimum temperature for low emissions.
Lexus is not yet announcing power for the new engine.
