Lotus Gives Two Modified Evoras to Italian Military Police

Lotus is given the Carabinieri, the Italian military police, two modified Evora S models in celebration of 150 years of Italian unification. The hand-off took place at Carabinieri headquarters in Rome. One car will remain in Rome, and the other will be used in Milan.

The two bespoke Evoras have been outfitted with voice recognition technology and refrigerated compartments. Lotus intends for the cars to be used as high-speed transports for blood or internal organs during medical emergencies.

"Our special Lotus Evoras combine the very best of our technology with excellent British engineering from Lotus. Not just anyone can drive these cars, we carefully selected some of our team to attend a driver training session at the new test track at Lotus’ headquarters in Hethel, Norfolk where they learned all about the very special characteristics and incredible potential of the cars,” said Carabinieri spokesperson, Colonel Marco Minicucci.
