owner has spoken to CarsUK and claims that McLaren has two completed cars showing the successor for the McLaren F1. It has already been shown to some wealthy McLaren customers in the UK and may be brought to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance from August 16-19 to be shown in private to wealthy guests.

, seats two people and has a completely carbon fiber body. The car reportedly has 1000hp from a combination of an 800hp-tuned version of the twin-turbo V8 found in the MP4-12C and a 200hp hybrid unit. That brings total power to 1000hp. The hybrid unit may use kinetic energy regeneration like in Formula 1 instead of a battery-based system found in most other hybrids.

More information about the car is expected to leak out at Pebble Beach.
