in 2013 as a coupe, but now there are rumors that it might make a few electric roadsters as well.
According to a Mercedes spokesman, it is gauging interest, and if it is high enough, then it will build the electric roadster.
The SLS AMG E-Cell is powered by electric motors located in each wheel producing a total of 525hp and a liquid-cooled 48kWh battery pack. Mercedes claims that it accelerates to 100km/h in 4.0 seconds. In comparison the standard version has 563hp and accelerates to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds.
