Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton are ready to defend the two chamionships in-a-row achieved in 2015 and for that they will be counting with the help of the new
W07, a vehicle which is a result of the optimization of the
W06 who dominated the last season. Nico Rosberg returns the world champion team-mate.
It is often said that in winning team nothing changes, but in Formula 1 it is utterly important to continue the optimization work of the vehicle to keep differences to the opponents. That's exactly what Mercedes tried to do with the new W07, according to the Executive Technical Director Paddy Lowe.
According to Lowe to prepare the new season, Mercedes tried to improve aspects that were less positive in its 2015 campaign, despite the Constructors and Drivers titles. The German team is always working in pursuit of excellence in all areas. Mercedes ensures that there are several areas where you it can still improve.
Lowe recalled that there were some races in 2015 that Mercedes had some pace problems, especially in Singapore, and these are less positive moments that the team wants to avoid in 2016.
