Formula 1 car around the Nürburgring Nordschleife as part of the festivities for the Nürburgring 24 Hours race on May 19. A Mercedes F1 car has not raced on the Nordschleife since 1954. 

The Nürburgring and Mercedes have a long history. The team gained is nickname The Silver Arrows in 1934 at the track when the team had to strip away the car's white paint to its bare metal body to meet the minimum weight for the W25Mercedes-Benz W25 Motorty...Germany, 1934 > 19342 photos

“I have a lot of fond memories of the Nürburgring and am really looking forward to giving fans and friends from my home town of Kerpen, which is quite close to the Nürburgring, something to remember as they see me drive by. But it will be a fantastic experience for me too, driving along the Nordschleife in a state-of–the-art Formula 1 Silver Arrow, particularly in view of the fact that the Silver Arrow’s legend began here," said Schumacher.
