. The design of the car is almost identical to the regular Auris with the same pointed face and 2.6m wheelbase. The Touring Sports adds 285mm of length to the rear to increase the luggage capacity to 1,658 liters with the rear seats down or 530 liters with them up. There is also a second, hidden luggage area under the rear cargo floor. It also gets aluminum roof rails and a rear spoiler.
Like the standard Auris, the side windows are tinted and feature black trim, but this feature is extended on the Touring Sports. The wagon also gets a new rear bumper and tailgate design with a 100mm lower load height.
There will be four engines available on the Touring Sports. There are two petrol engines with either 1.33 liters or 1.6 liters of displacement, a 1.4-liter diesel and a hybrid with a 1.8-liter petrol engine. The hybrid produces 134hp, accelerates to 100km/h in 10.9 seconds and has an 112mph top speed. It emits 86g/km of CO2.
For the hybrid, the batteries are located under the rear seats, which means there is no adverse effect to the load capacity.
Options will include a panoramic sunroof that is 1.5m long and 960mm wide.
