. Nissan says that the design of the car was inspired by the scientific advancement in materials, which gives the car a very fluid, organic look.

Nissan calls the front of the car V-Motion. The front grill features a V-shaped chrome piece that leads directly to the headlights, which further broaden the V. The V is then carried to the rear in the D-Pillar with V-shaped taillights. The concept rides on 22in wheels and has satin chrome trim covering the car.

The interior is mostly conceptual and is inspired by a VIP Lounge. The seats are made from white leather with wood and satin chrome trim. The center stack is made from an LED screen but is partially controlled by two knobs. There is another LED display in the instrument panel.

Nissan says that the concept uses a hybrid powertrain with a CVT transmission and all-wheel drive.

"Resonance is meant to be provocative, energetic and engaging - even polarizing. Its edgy yet sophisticated design, combined with an environmentally sensitive powertrain and intelligent utility provides a clear, exciting view into the future of crossover innovation," said Francois Bancon, Nissan general manager.
