has given its cars a performance upgrade by announcing upgrades to the 2014 370Z Nismo and pricing for 2014 GT-R Track EditionNissan GT-R Track EditionJapan, 2014 > present. Both cars will be on sale in the summer and available for order now.
Nissan is giving the 370Z Nismo a few upgrades for 2014 including new exterior styling, new exterior color and new interior appointments. Power still comes from a 3.7-liter V6 with 350hp and 276lb-ft of torque and a six-speed manual transmission.
The exterior gets dark gray contrast to the front and rear fascia, lower side sills, new side mirrors and Nismo rear spoiler. The front nose has been extended and has a new chin spoiler, which makes the car 6.2in longer than standard 370ZNissan 370ZJapan, 2013 > present. It also has a new rear bumper design with a new rear spoiler. Nissan added Solid Red as an available exterior color.
Inside, there is a new red Nismo tachometer and Alcantara-covered steering wheel.
With the enhancements for the 2014 model year and the addition of the new JUKE NISMO, we're unifying the look and feel of these distinctive NISMO models and paving the way for additional NISMO vehicles to follow," said Pierre Loing, head of product strategy at Nissan Americas.
The GT-R Track Edition will start at $115,710 in the US, plus $1,000 destination fee. The model is supposed to be the ultimate GT-R model currently on sale. It is upgraded over the standard car with a Bilstein DampTronic dampers, higher spring rates, brake cooling guides, a new front spoiler with carbon fiber air ducts and removed rear seats. All of them come with blue-trimmed leather seats, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, RAYS wheels and Dunlop sport tires.
Nissan claims that the changes come from what the engineers have learned from racing the car at the Nürburgring. They will be limited to 150 cars in the US this year.
All 2014 GT-R's use the same twin-turbocharged V6 with 545hp an upgrade in mid-RPM torque and better acceleration above 6,000rpm.
