Volvo Museum will provide documentation with the car that it was the UK's official embassy car during the period. The country’s dignitaries and royal family used it whenever they visited the US until 1988. It also includes the original Rolls-Royce build sheet.

The bulletproofing includes intercoms, sealing against poisonous gases and reinforcement for the windshield, side windows and rear. The museum has documents showing that the bulletproofing cost $200,000 at the time and took about 3 years to finish.

Other than a new paintjob, the car is unrestored.

The video below shows Princess Diana and Prince Charles using the car to visit President Reagan on their visit starting at about 25 seconds.

Other cars that will be auctioned include cars from The Fast and the Furious series and Days of Thunder
