Production version of Sesto Elemento going to Frankfurt?

At next month’s Frankfurt Auto Show Lamborghini is allegedly going to reveal a new supercar. An invite to the media presentation of a new car from the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory that has surfaced is bringing back the rumours of a production version of the Sesto Elemento concept car.

On the invite we can read this key inscription: “Lamborghini: Racing Towards Frankfurt”.

Over the last months Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has suggested in several occasions that the Italian supercar brand had plans for the launch of a limited edition version of the Sesto Elemento. The CEO also said that this edition would only be suitable as track-focused race car, because of difficulty and the costs of road homologation for the carbon fibre car.

But to know what Lamborghini has prepared for its customers and fans we will have to wait until the second week of September, when the action at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show starts.
