Land Rover will make quite a show of the car's debut by driving it through Manhattan to be revealed the day before the auto show officially opens. The venue was chosen because New York City is the Range Rover Sport's single largest market worldwide. More are sold there than in any other metropolitan area to make it the best selling Land Rover model in the US.

“The all-new Range Rover Sport takes the model to another level.  It is Land Rover’s most dynamic vehicle yet and showcases the best of British design, engineering and technological innovation," said John Edwards, Land Rover brand director.

The Sport will be the third vehicle in the Range Rover model range and will be positioned between the EvoqueLand Rover Range Rover EvoqueUnited Kingdom, 2011 > present128 versions
