Nissan North America, Inc has presented the details for the 2011 model year Nissan Murano. Set to go on sale throughout the US market in mid-October the Murano will be receiving a refreshed grille and bumper design, new taillights, a new 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design and a number of interior and content refinements.
Eight versions will be available for the 2011 model year, with two new versions being added: the SV FWD and the SV AWD.
“With its contemporary exterior design, ‘mobile suite’ interior, advanced technology and refined, premium driving feel, Murano stands out as a modern crossover SUV like no other,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc.
Under the bonnet, all 2011 Muranos will be powered by a standard VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 rated at 260 horsepower and 325 of torque. The refreshed Murano will also feature an advanced Xtronic CVT™ that according to the brand offers sporty and smooth driving experience. The Murano will be available in front-wheel drive or with an Intuitive All-Wheel Drive system, and all Muranos come with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS) standard.
