Re-styled Murano presented by Nissan

Nissan North America, Inc has presented the details for the 2011 model year Nissan Murano. Set to go on sale throughout the US market in mid-October the Murano will be receiving a refreshed grille and bumper design, new taillights, a new 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design and a number of interior and content refinements.

Eight versions will be available for the 2011 model year, with two new versions being added: the SV FWD and the SV AWD.

“With its contemporary exterior design, ‘mobile suite’ interior, advanced technology and refined, premium driving feel, Murano stands out as a modern crossover SUV like no other,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc.

Under the bonnet, all 2011 Muranos will be powered by a standard VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 rated at 260 horsepower and 325 of torque. The refreshed Murano will also feature an advanced Xtronic CVT™ that according to the brand offers sporty and smooth driving experience. The Murano will be available in front-wheel drive or with an Intuitive All-Wheel Drive system, and all Muranos come with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS) standard.
