Renault Captur Will Likely Be Revealed on Friday

will not be attending the North American International Auto Show because it does not sell cars there, but it is not letting the opportunity to unveil a new car pass it by. It announced today that it will reveal a new car on Friday, January 11, at 10am CET codenamed the J87. The one teaser image that it released nearly confirms that this car is the new CapturRenault Captur ConceptFrance, 2011 > present8 photos

As we wrote on December 21, patent drawings for the Captur leaked out of Renault. One of the patent images has a similar angle as the teaser image, and all of the important details line up between the images. 

The Captur is Renault's answer to the Nissan JukeNissan JukeJapan, 2010 > present135 versions

. In fact, they share the same platform. Styling for the Captur does not appear as extreme as the Juke, according to the patent images. The Captur looks more like a pumped up ClioRenault Clio Gen.4France, 2012 > present92 versions

Engines have not been announced for the Captur yet.
