Renault is celebrating last year's Formula 1 Constructors' Championship with the Renaultsport Clio R.S Red Bull Racing RB7. The car is more than just a trim package as it gets a the 18in wheels with Bridgestone RE050A tires from the Megane R.S Trophy and a slightly tuned engine with a little more power over the standard car.
In addition to the larger, stickier tires, the Clio R.S RB7 comes only in Profound Black with the blade-like front splitter, door mirror housings and diffuser painted Sirius Yellow. The roof is decorated with a black and grey-checkered pattern. For better performance, the 2.0l engine gets tuned for an extra 6hp over the regular Clio R.S for a total of 203hp and the Cup chassis.
The interior gets a few upgrades as well including automatic climate control, automatic headlights, hands free phone, yellow Recaro seats, Renault Sport gear knob and numbered plaque. The car also comes with the R.S Monitor that displays performance information about the car.
The Clio R.S RB7 will only be available in France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium and Austria. Renault announced that the car will cost €27,900 in France. That price is about €1,000 more than the current top of the line Clio Gordini R.S 2.0. Orders begin tomorrow, March 14. It did not say when deliveries would begin.
