The Smart Brabus Electric Drive will gets it debut at the Geneva Motor Show alongside the Smart Brabus Ebike.
The Brabus Electric Drive is based on the electric Smart Fortwo but adds a sport suspension, Brabus wheels and aerodynamic body parts. Mechanically, it is still based on the electric Fortwo. It still uses the same 60kW (80.5hp) electric motor with 135Nm of torque. Brabus adds a sports suspension that drops the car 10mm. It also gets a Brabus steering wheel and hand brake. The interior is faux-leather on the door trim and seats. Outside, the car is black with bright green trim. It also features darkened headlights, Brabus front spoiler and rear apron and Brabus 16in Monoblock wheels at the front and 17in wheels in the rear.
The other new Smart vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show will be the Brabus Ebike, which is a standard bicycle with an electric drive that can reach up to 45km/h. The bike is painted in the same black and green as the car with four-piston front brakes and carbon wheels. It also gets lighter pedals, crank and seat post compared to the regular Smart Ebike. For power, the Brabus Ebike uses a 500w electric motor, compared to a 250w motor in the regular Ebike, and the lighter components cut weight by 10%.
The car will go on sale in 12 countries later this year, and the Ebike will be on a sale at the end of the year.
