a few weeks ago, but it turns out that instead of boosting power, the tS package lowers the car's weight and improves its handling with bespoke parts from STI. The car is already on sale in Japan, and there is not word whether Subaru will export it to other markets.

Subaru says that the point of the car is to enhance the "oneness with vehicle" and "agile handling pleasure".

The cosmetic changes for the package are BBS 18in wheels, an STI lower front spoiler, carbon fiber rear spoiler and Alcantara and leather Recaro front seats. On the fenders, there are STI and tS badges, and there is a second tS badge at the rear. It also adds Alcantara over the speedometer visor, a leather shift knob, leather steering wheel and aluminum side sills with the tS logo

The list of mechanical changes is huge. It adds a larger diameter driveshaft, Brembo 17in brakes front and rear, an STI rear suspension, upgraded struts and springs for the front and rear, strut tower bar and retuned vehicle dynamic control.

Subaru is only building a total of 500 of them. Two hundred and fifty will not include the GT Package, which adds the carbon fiber rear spoiler, Recaro seats and BBS wheels. Those models will with have Subaru sport seats in Alcantara and leather and Subaru 18in wheels.
