Did you ever wonder who buys all those supercars out there? We got the answer: most of them end up in some footballer's garage.

Looking at the collections of the most acclaimed football stars these days, most of them obviously have the desire to match their strive for accomplishment in sport with a muscular machine enginerered to perfection.

With extra-terrestrial, not to say inter-galactic, paychecks, the sky is the limit at any dealership. Who wouldn't want to live these boys' dreams?

Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese superstar is batteling Messi on the playing field but when it comes to supercars, he definitely outrivals him: a Audi R8, Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche Cayenne, Porsche Panamera, Ferrari 599 GTO, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 and Bentley Continental GT populate his driveway. And there are even rumours of a Bugatti Veyron order in his name. Well, with a paycheck worth 31,2 mio. euros, that's reasonable.

Lionel Messi

Probably the world's greatest player, the Argentinian has an annual income of about 29,7 Mio. - well enough to stuff the garage to the roof with supercars. Messi apparently likes some horsepower but could still gear up his collection currently consisting of a Dodge Charger SRT8, Maserati Gran Turismo, Audi Q7, Ferrari F430 Spider and Lexus LX 570 with some more exotics may be?

Wayne Rooney

Not only collector of titles, also collector of cars, Rooney started off with a modest Ford Sportka aged 17, moved on to a Volkswagen Golf and ended up with a Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley Continental GT, Range Rover, Aston Martin Vanquish, BMW M6, Audi RS6 Avant, Mercedes CLK, Cadillac Escalade, Audi TT, Mercedes G55 AMG...and that's not counting with his wife's cars.

David Beckham

The football-culture is as much a British thing as are expensive, luxurious cars. No wonder then that Beckham is also famed for his, quite complete, garage. It counts a Ferrari 575, Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, a BMW X5, a Range Rover, not one, but two Bentley Arnages, a Porsche 911 Turbo, Rolls-Royce Phantom, a vintage Aston Martin V8, a Ford F150, Lincoln Navigator, GMC Yukon Denali, Cadillac Escallade, BMW M3....and many more that simply don't fit in this space.

The Brasilian superstar is famed for his dribbling skills, but should also convince with some good driving skills to do justice to his stable of horsepower-colossuses. We wonder if he is handling his Bugatti Veyron, Hummer H2 and Audi Q7 on the streets, just in the same way as he flips the ball on the field.

Didier Drogba

Much more presentable is the garage Drogba built himself at Chelsea, from horsepower, to offroad-capabilities and urban driving fun, he owns the full range. But we bet that with a monthly £200,000 coming in at Shanghai Shenhua, this isn't where he is going to stop: Mercedes SLR Mclaren, Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover, MINI Cooper S Works.

Mario Balotelli

Balotelli equals drama and so his choice for a rather conservative Maserati GranTurismo S and the mammoth Bentley Continental GT almost appears a bit bland. How about something more unreckoned? Isn't that what Balotelli is all about?

Gerard Piqué

Spanish football star and male part in a glamorous VIP-loveaffair, Gerard Piqué entertains an adequate collection of cars to chauffeur his Shakira around in the streets of Barcelona. They have been caught with a Porsche Cayenne and various Audis, amongst them an A5 and Q7.
