was second bestselling with a 4.6% market share.

Buyers are so desperate to avoid the five-month wait for a new Model S that used cars are selling for a premium over new ones. A new base Model S sells for the equivalent of $110,000 in Norway, while it is $70,000 in the United States.

"There has been an enormous demand for this car and it doesn't seem to stop. We have a lot of customers on the waiting list right now," said Joar Tenfjord, the head of Tesla's dealership in Bergen, Norway.

Electric cars are so popular in Norway because the government offers subsidies, free parking, free charging, exemptions from tolls and the ability to drive in bus lanes. The government also charges high taxes on cars with large engines.
