has unveiled the final version of the FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo that will integrate from September the list of vehicles available for the videogame Gran Turismo 6. The Calty design studio in California introduced some new details compared to the real conceptFT-1Toyota FT-1Japan, 2014 > 2014 shown in January at the Detroit Motor Show.

With the FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo the Japanese brand chose to create an even more radical vehicle than the original concept in order to trigger the interest of fans of the Gran Turismo series.

The shape and basic architecture of the FT-1 include the introduction of cooling elements and extra downforce to develop the car in its Vision version, using a design process that the Calty studio calls "function sculpture". The designers studied the racetrack and real world race cars and applied their research to create a car that transmits power and performance in its function driven appearance.

Details include bigger archwheels to accommodate larger tires needed for enhanced grip, enlarged air inlets for increased cooling and a larger rear wing and front Canard fins to generate greater downforce. A larger diffuser was also included with several integrated fins that was placed further back to create a cleaner airflow.

The FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo will be available for Gran Turismo 6 palyers from September.

Now check the latest cars available in the famous videogame.

The design is meant to simultaneously evoke classic Mercedes models and the future. It features gullwing doors, a long, low hood and highly accentuated wheel arches. The radiator is inspired by the 300SL, but the louvers have been replaced by variable LEDs.

Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo

The designers of the German brand had complete freedom in terms of the vehicle development, leaving aside any production intent. The design of the GTI Roadster is up to the level of fame of the Gran Turismo series with highly sculpted and aggressive lines, but can still maintain some of Volkswagen's corporate identity.

BMW Vision Gran Turismo

BMW got inspired in its successful touring cars of the 1970s to create the digital vehicle. Still the brand managed to create a modern road racer that shows an image of speed even before getting on-track. With the front and rear spoilers to optimize the downforce, all elements of air circulation serve to reduce drag coefficient

Toyota FT-1

The wildly styled concept comes from Toyota’s Calty Design Research center in California that celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The name means Future Toyota, and it claims that the “1” represents that it is the brand’s ultimate car.
