Vettel dominated the race to give Red Bull command of the podium. Rosberg took the final rung

Sebastian Vettel has made it seven consecutive victories at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He may have started in second place, but he was in first by the first corner and proceeded to put up a lead as high as 30 seconds over the course of the race. His teammate, Mark Webber, slipped a spot from his pole position to finish second. Nico Rosberg rounded out the podium after defending Romain Grosjean in the latter portion of the race.

Mark Webber might have been on pole, but it didn't last long. Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg immediately got around him. Lewis Hamilton had a horrible start. He went into the inside on the first corner and was passed by several cars. He got back past most of them but was in fifth after starting in fourth.

After starting from the back of the field, Kimi Raikkonen did not even make it past the first corner. He made contact with Giedo van der Garde in the first corner and broke the Lotus'LotusLotusUnited Kingdom, 1952 > present68 models

Cars began switching off of the soft tires for mediums around lap nine, but even by lap 16 Vettel had still not stopped. By lap 20, the top cars behind him had reshuffled to Paul di Resta in second who had not stopped, Nico Rosberg in third, Lewis Hamilton in fourth and Romain Grosjean in fifth. Vettel had a 23-second lead.

Webber put in a surge following his pit stop. He went from eighth to fourth, then di Resta pitted to bring Webber to third, and he got around Rosberg for second. It was quite a drive.

With half of the race gone, the running order was Vettel, Webber, Rosberg, Grosjean and Massa. Vettel's lead was 28.8 seconds over Webber.

After the second round of pit stops, Webber was still in second, and Rosberg was in third and Grosjean was fourth. Vettel pitted and came out while still keeping his lead.

With ten laps to go, the driver to watch was Grosjean who was in fourth just a few seconds behind Rosberg. Vettel and Webber still led. Grosjean cut the lead to half a second by lap 50. However, he was not able to make the pass through the end of the race.

There was also a great race for fifth between Paul di Resta and Lewis Hamilton in sixth. With six laps to go, Hamilton was gaining on di Resta every lap. However, Alonso was behind Hamilton, and while he was trying to get past di Resta, Alonso got around Hamilton for sixth. A lap later, Alonso got past di Resta for fifth.

There are no changes in the constructors' championship standings after the race.

In the drivers' championship, Paul di Resta moves up one spot to tenth place over Nico Hulkenberg.
