two new, more powerful engine options in Europe for the new model year.
The first upgrade is a new TDI diesel with 140ps and 340Nm of torque. The engine will be available with available BlueMotion Technology and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. BlueMotion Technology adds start/stop, regenerative braking, low rolling resistance tires and cruise control. It can be optioned with either a manual or dual-clutch DSG transmission. The cleanest version uses with BlueMotion uses 6.9l/100km of diesel and 182g/km of CO2. All-wheel drive increases consumption by between 0.1l/100km and 0.9l/100km depending on model. Prices start at €27,450 for a Transporter, €36,223.60 for a Multivan.
The other new engine option is a 150ps and 280Nm of torque tune of the 2.0 TSI engine. It is available only with a six-speed manual transmission and accelerates to 100km/h in 11 seconds. It uses 9.5l/100km of petrol and produces 222g/km of CO2. The Multivan uses slightly more fuel at 9.8l/100km and 228g/km of CO2. It also is slower by taking 12.5 seconds to accelerate to 100km/h. They cost €25,445 for the Transporter or €33,272.40 for the Multivan.
