is limited to 100 units worldwide, and half of those are going to the Australian market to promote racing in the V8 Supercar series.
According to Polestar boss Hans Baath, work on the V40 Polestar had already begun prior to the S60 V8 Supercar, but the company decided that racing was a better opportunity and put the project on hold. Polestar is still a small outfit and can only focus on one project at a time. After it gets the S60 ready to race is Australia, then it can focus on its next car.
“At the moment it is a pilot program in Australia for Australia. But we only have to look at the other opportunities with the rest of our range to see there is potential,” said Volvo Cars Australia boss Matt Braid.
