VW Tiguan gets longer with the Allspace

variant named AllspaceTiguan Allspace Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace Germany, 2017 > present. The new version of the mid-sized SUV has been revealed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The optinal seven-seat Tiguan Allspace will reach the market in the second half of 2017.

 

Longer and larger

 
Compared to the standar Volkswagen Tiguan the Allspace variant length has been increased by 215mm, including the 110mm longer wheelbase. As a consequence the German make has been able to add an extra row of two seats or additional 115l of cargo volume.
 
This way the boot space on the Tiguan Alsspace has been increased to a total of 730l, which increases to 1770l with the the rear seats folded.
 
In terms of design the Tiguan Allspace is very similar to the standar mid-size SUV. However it received some minor updates on the bonnet and front grille. On the side there have also been some udpates due to the extra length added to the vehicle.
 

Powertrains

 
The Allspace gets an updated engine range which includes a three gasoline engines with 150hp, 180hp and 220hp and three diesel engines with 150hp, 190hp and 240hp. Both 150hp versions get the 4MOTION Active Control all wheel drive system and the automatic dual-clutch transmission (DSG) as an optional. The remaining range gets it as standard.
