Japan Japan (1932 - present)

about:

Nissan Motor is a Japanese vehicle manufacturer with headquarters at Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

Nissan set off in 1932 with founders Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama, Meitaro Takeuchi and Yoshisuke Aikawa. However, Aikawa had opened a holding company named Nippon Sangyo in 1928 – which in a few years was abbreviated to “Nissan” – and this company began selling "Datsun"-branded vehicles in 1933, after Aikawa had bought a controlling stake from DAT Motors (1931). The automobile business became the subsidiary company Nissan Motors in 1934.

Today, Nissan is a multinational enterprise and is closely associated wit the French manufacturer Renault S.A.. Its models range from the subcompact to the sports car segment and line of luxury cars is marketed under the seperate Infiniti brand.
