Launched in 2004 the Nissan Note is a mini MPV that was launched in 2004 and started being sol in Europe in 2006.
The car shares some its components with the Renault Modus and was developed to compete with the Opel Meriva and Citroën C3 Picasso as well as the Renault Modus. The Note is an indirect successor of the conventional medium-sized Almera hatchback which stopped being produced at Nissan's Sunderland plant in November 2006.
