Opel Trolls Wörthersee Treffen Fireworks Display
Opel is making a habit out of trolling Volkswagen fans at the annual Wörthersee Treffen in Austria. The event welcomes around 200,000 VW Group fans each year.
Last year, Opel went the simple route with a plane flying around with a banner showing the Corsa OPC and slogan "Leider Geil," a slang term that describes things that are bad for you but still fun.
This year, Opel really got into the prank. It distributed special glasses that it told viewers would make the fireworks show at the end of the night much better. Of course, everyone thought they were from VW, not Opel. When the fireworks went off, the glasses made the lights look like Opel logos. It is actually pretty cool.
