Paris Dakar Rally Special is the weirdest driving game ever
I posted a videos earlier today about the Sega game Outrun and the 2013 Dakar Rally. Those two thoughts combined in my head about this game - Paris Dakar Rally Special for the Nintendo Famicom. It is truly one the most inexplicable driving games every created.

It starts with you getting funding for your car. In an adventure game style, your character has to go to businesses to get money to prepare the car. You have to do the same thing to get your co-driver. Imagine that for a second, it would be like if you had to flip burgers for an hour to earn money for your first car from Forza.

From there you actually get to drive, but large parts of the game have you getting in and out of the car to flip switches.

Finally, the rally game actually starts.

As far as I know, this game was only ever available in Japan, but it looks like a great combination of fun and weird.

The video I am posting if from a Japanese TV Show called Game Center CX that challenges a Japanese comedian to beat classic video games.
