The Peugeot Exalt is a concept unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. The vehicle features a new combination of materials in gray tones, with much of the body coated in crude steel and coated in the back with Shark Skin. Aboard, the lining in Newspaper Wood reflects the economy section of major daily newspapers.
The Exalt is part of the materials project started in 2012 with the Onyx: materials that achieve a blend of balance, local sourcing, recycling-based production. The vehicle is equipped with a gasoline engine HYbrid4 which develops 340hp.

With sports and athletic lines, the Exalt shows the current design lines of Peugeot. In homage to the Art of French car of the decades of 20 and 30 of the past century, its crude steel body is hand carved by a master craftsman.
The vehicle has long and dynamic lines, a high waistline, a sloping windscreen, a low roof (only 1.31 m), a very sharp profile that hides a large interior volume, creased flanks in the lower part of the body in basalt fiber and 20 inch rims.
The front of the vehicle is highlighted by the double headlights which include the new signature lighting from Peugeot. At the center the grid emerges from the bodywork. At the bottom, the flow of air feeding the engine is intersected by the inlets that form the indicators of change in direction of LED.
To improve the aerodynamic coefficient, the Exalt rear is coated in Shark Skin, an efficient textile that draws on ‘bio-mimicry’ to create a technical grain structure that markedly improves the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle and reduces fuel consumption. Its implementation is sublimated by a straight cut and creased which makes the transition between the rear doors and the rear section of the vehicle. The new prototype shows a new contrast in terms of cutting.
The trunk has an automatic opening system and includes a reserved area at the bottom where a folding electric scooter can be placed.

With just 1700kg, the Peugeot Exalt is fed through a mechanical HYbrid4 plug-in system with a total output of 340hp, distributed to all four wheels. The hood covers a 1.6 THP 270hp engine developed by Peugeot Sport, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
At the rear, under the multi-train arms rests an 50 kW electric motor for driving on electric or hybrid modes. It helps to recharge the battery through a regenerative braking process.

The earliest Peugeot factory was opened in Sochaux, near Montbéliard, France, where the Peugeot family was from. Armand Peugeot was the family member that was most attracted to the automotive industry and went on for more than a dozen years to convince his family that producing cars would bring money and success.
The first motor vehicle produced at the Peugeot plant was a three-wh... more
