Mike Pilbeam decided to found is own race cars company in 1975, after acquiring experience working with Lotus and BRM. Pilbeam has designed cars for the most important race events, such as Formula 1, 2, 3, Formula Atlantic and Ford 2000 and, more recently, Le Mans. From the beginning, Pilbeam cars have always been extremely successful in hillclimbing, a motor sport in which the company still thrives.
