Pit Crew Injured During DTM Race at Zandvoort

Auto racing can be extremely dangerous, but that usually is for the drivers not for the pit crews. If you missed it, there was a horrifying accident at during Friday practice for last weekend's DTM race at Zandvoort. The #6 Mercedes driven by Ralf Schumacher leaves his pit and his car's wing catches the arm holding the air hose of the next team. The arm spins around to strike four members of the pit crew. All of them were transported to hospital, but three were immediately released after being checked. One had to stay overnight for observation.
