The 911 Turbo Cabriolet launched in 2013 combines Porsche’s 3.8-liter turbocharged flat six engine with the modified turbo body and Cabriolet drop top. The basic turbo engine puts out 514hp (520ps). It hits 100km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 318km/h (198mph). It has an average consumption of 9.9l/100km and emits 231g/km of CO2.
The car in North America has slightly different gearing to accelerate to 60mph in 3.3 seconds for the standard turbo and 3.1 seconds for the S, but the top speed is 195mph. It uses 17mpg city and 24mpg highway.
The body carries the changes from the Turbo coupe with rear fenders 28mm wider (1.1in) than the Carrera 4. The convertible top is housed in a magnesium frame to keep weight down. It can be opened and closed in 13 seconds at speeds up to 50km/h (30mph).
The car also gets standard all-wheel drive with rear-wheel steering and active aerodynamics.
