Porsche Cayenne (Germany, 2002-present)

The Cayenne is a mid-size luxury crossover manufactured since 2002 and marketed across two generations so far. The 2nd generation Cayenne debuted in 2010.

The SUV is available as five seater and is equipped with a V8 front engine and four-wheel drive. Since the discontinuation of the Porsche 928 in 1995, the Cayenne is Porsche's first V8 engined model. Some of the Cayenne's parts, such as frame and doors are sourced from Volkswagen's Touareg model.

The first generation Porsche Cayenne was released in 2002 with several variants. The range included gasoline- and diesel-powered versions, as well as the ‘S’, the ‘GTS’ and two turbocharged variants. The early top-of-the-range Cayennes (Turbo S variant) were powered by 4.5-liter turbocharged V8 engines that produce 521 hp. In 2006 the first generation Cayenne received a significant facelift.
