Presented at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Revolte is a hybrid compact city car concept from Citroën.
Based on the classic Citroën 2 CV, the Revolte represents the brand’s view of the future of urban transportation. With an environmentally responsible technology, the concept car features the changes of the role of small cars in people’s life. Today economy and practicality is as important as style and elegance.
With a bold design, already part of Citroën’s history, the Revolte is a new contemporary approach to the brand’s compact city cars.
Small dimensions are a distinctive aspect of the Revolte. It is 3.68m long, 1.73m wide and 1.35m tall, giving it a sleek and elegant profile. This look is enhanced by the defined wheel arches, curving bonnet, forceful lines and sculpted sides, matching the roof line.
The Revolte concept car is powered by both a rechargeable electric engine and a small-capacity conventional combustion engine. Thanks to its all-electric ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) mode, the vehicle is able to run on a zero-emission drive.
