Rolls-Royce debuted at the 2014 New York Auto Show the Ghost Series II, a facelifted version of its luxury model. The brand has made a "discreet and considered update of this iconic car’s exterior appearance".
Launched in 2009 Rolls-Royce chose the 2014 New York Motor Show to reveal a comprehensively refreshed version of the luxury saloon in order to maintain its sales success. Changes include new daytime running lights encircling the LED headlights, re-sculpted bumpers to give the model a wider and sportier look. The bonnet features a central line that runs from the Spirit of Ecstasy statute back to the base of the windscreen. Personalization potential has been increased with more paint and wheel options.
The new headlight design on the Ghost hasn't been created just to look good. It features the latest tech so that the lights swivel with steering inputs and automatically dip when other vehicles approach.
Inside, Ghost Series II is a real combination of luxury, technology and connectivity available thought for the successful entrepreneur on the move. The Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II continues to be powered by the same 570hp V12 petrol engine with 780Nm of torque, coupled with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Performance remains sharp for a 2740kg short wheelbase luxury limousine. It can reach the 100km/h mark in 5.0s and to a 250km/h limited top speed.
