The Saab 9-5 is an executive car introduced in 1997. It replaced the Saab 9000 for the 1998 model year. In 2009, the second generation was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it is produced since 2010. It was the first Saab model launched under Spyker Cars' ownership.

The second generation 9-5 is built on the Global Epsilon platform, for 2012 a Sports Wagon body version is added to the new 9-5 line-up. The car is offered with a variety of four engines and two six-speed transmissions.
