Seat unveiled the Ibiza Cupster at the 2014 tunning festival Wörthersee. The concept is an open-top vehicle created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Ibiza.
The low wraparound windscreen and the unexisting roof, make the Ibiza Cupster a fun radical vehicle for both the driver and co-driver. The concept is based on the Ibiza Cupra.
Seat Design created a stunning reinterpretation of the design language of the Ibiza through the Cupster. While the body is basically the same as the production model until the shoulder line. Upwards the vehicle is fully open.
The Ibiza Cupster is a two-seater open-top vehicle and even the windscreen has a more radical design, with a range of surrounding glass. However, Seat states that the driver and co-driver are well protected thanks to the sitting position, 80 millimeters lower than the production car series. The vehicle also received a wrapped steering wheel in pure aniline leather.
The one-off vehicle received a painting in orange created specifically for the concept. The interior is simple and based on the Ibiza Cup racing cars. The Cupster includes a minimalist instrument panel and Alcantara black upholstery, low-slung racing bucket seats to give a real racing feeling.
The Cupster is based on the Ibiza Cupra and it is powered by the same 1.4 TSI engine with 180hp with a dual-clutch DSG transmission, precision sports running gear and 18-inch wheels.
